A walk and a visit to a vineyard

Started this walk at Silves, an old historical town with a castle and cathedral,  and walked through orange, lemon and olive groves to the windmill on a hill outside the town.  Some very steep slopes to cope with, and slippy with scree, but with care we all made it with no mishaps.  Very warm away from the coast, as there was no coastal breeze to cool us, so our five miles were enough in the heat.

After walking back to the town, the coach took us Adego Do Cantor for a tour of the winery and vineyards, made famous by Cliff Richards.   However, we only saw a cardboard cut out of him!

Fascinated to see all the storks in their nests on the roofs of the town, many with their young.

Went to the Irish Pub in the evening, and had a great sing song.
