A Thousand a Day

parkrun

A seemingly lone cyclist heads across Newcastle's Town Moor.
Behind him almost 400 runners; boys and girls, men and women; fast and slow, short and tall; club runners and unattached runners. Some run to race each other, some to race the clock, others just for the joy of it all. The under-8s and over-80s , all chasing the bike for 5 kilometres, every Saturday, at almost 200 parks around the world. All united as they measure the earth with their feet.
