WideAngle Wednesday: Proof that Earth is Round??!

...No, just another Fisheye shot :-)

Bobsblips (thanks Bob) suggested "Countryside" as today's WidWed theme - which would have been very easy if we hadn't come home from the Lake District on Monday evening!

However I needed to do some shopping at ASDA*, which is close to our lovely Rising Sun Country Park here in North Tyneside, so rather than go in the car I decided to walk and take in the Country Park on the way. This photo is taken from the top of the hill, looking towards the River Tyne. Things are pretty industrial in the far distance, and if you look closely in the centre of the photo you may be able to see the yellow wind turbine bases which I've blipped before (here) - it's amazing how different the view from the same viewpoint can be with a different lens. Anyway, at least there's a fair bit of countryside left here - although it's gradually being used for more and more housing, which you'd have seen if I'd turned the camera through 90 degrees.
