Mud all over the face is frequent enough, but his feet looked like he'd deliberately put mud inside his shoes, dampened the soles of his socks then replaced his shoes. I gave the shoes a quick rinse in the bath whilst Amos was in but the muck emerging from them threatened his cleanliness, so I gave them a thorough squidging in the sink until the water ran clear through them. No way they'll be dry by the morning.
