Emu

First time for everything! While I’ve hit a few kangaroos in the last 12 years in Australia, this is the first emu. Ran straight into the side of my car just near the front wheel. Opposite side to the kangaroo that did exactly the same thing about 2 years ago.
I’m really not looking forward to the whole insurance claim thing! Could always be worse though, especially having to swerve on the loose gravel roads. First challenge was avoiding the emu which I clearly failed at. Second challenge though was safely stopping the car on the loose gravel which I’m happy to say I managed.
