The Oxford (NY) Marching Band

The Cavalcade of the Bands will be performing this weekend. Every school sends their band to participate. There are parades and other performances.
Although our village band is few in number they have been practicing outdoors for a month and are ready.
They always march the street circle that goes past my house. So I got to blip them gain this year.
As the sun was setting at the end of the practice, a lone trumpeter played "Taps" and another one echoed. It was so touching, it brought tears to my eyes.
This year it is a brave little band going to compete with the bigger schools in the county.
