Birthplace of Photography

Not the best of journeys south. Heavy rain, heavy traffic but we didn’t experience any major hold ups. We altered our plans for a stop off in favour of Lacock Abbey home of William Henry Fox Talbot.

A fascinating place to visit with the medieval nunnery and then family home. The extra whilst not a brilliant photo shows the window and view of the first ever photograph.

Lacock was also a fascinating village to wander around. Just steeling ourselves for the next stage of our journey to Exeter University, the venue for todays race.
