Migrant in Moscow

მტკვარი (Georgian for "Mtkvari River")

The Mtkvari River runs turgid and muddy at this time of the year as snow melts in the mountains. Tbilisi has witnessed the flows as a city since the 5th century although settlements along the river go back about 7,000 years.  The river rises in Turkey and runs for 1515 km between the Caucasus mountains into the Caspian Sea.   Apparently 'Tbilisi' means 'warm location' and 'Mtkvari' means 'good water'.  Nice mix.
