Horribly busy!

What a day! 140 miles down the A8 on a bank holiday Sunday. You'd think it would be quiet with no lorries on the road , but everybody else thought that too. The result was four lanes of traffic jams, road works and when cleared the traffic travelling between 55mph and 180mph Plus! We arrived at our campsite on the Chiemsee where (typically) we are packed in like sardines. However, all is not lost, and just a few hundred yards long the shore beyond the marina we found this idyllic quiet spot. We have never seen a campsite quite like this where the women wear their wealth and dress to match their poodles; the top of the range caravans of various makes are pulled by top of the range BMWs or Mercedes etc and the Porche sports car follows behind. Our little two berth Bailey sits somewhere between them!
