More vintage

The Hesket Newmarket Vintage Motorbike weekend really got into its stride today, with more than 100 bikes and several hundred people in the village (population about 100 or so).  There were bodies strewn all over the village green, drinking the pub dry, emptying the shop freezer of ice-cream, or just standing around in small groups talking about bikes. That's motor bikes, not real bikes, though we had some of those too.  I talked with one chap who had a belt-driven 'Precision' motorbike manufactured in 1914, and bought by him in 1950 - and still going strong, both of them.  Precision are still going too, they make kettles!

These three vintage owners were just shooting the breeze in what bit of shade they could find, catching up on what they'd been up to since last time.
