Dampener

I'm hoping that I won't have another weekend of such overload again for a while. Up early and stuck in again to the G10 reviews, then a nice break to go and see FL for brunch. We went to the Boardwalk cafe at Cramond - new to us both. It was a lovely crazy sort of place with inflatable parrots, straw parasols, jolly cushions and just the sort of good humoured chaotic service that the reviews had mentioned. Everyone was crammed indoors as there was such a thick haar - we'd hoped it might have cleared by the time we met up but it stuck around all day. Probably good for the marathon runners but less fun for a beach walk that we'd planned. Nevertheless braved the freezing damp air to do a brisk walk (no sign of the island we should have been able to see as we looked out from the beach mind you - extra) talking about her new job and the remodelling I want to do on the flat.
After our walk I headed straight to the office and got stuck in, only interrupted by FaceTime calls from Mt&H at Duxford air show for his birthday (AR loves the planes almost as much as Mt!) and from A telling me about the wedding they went to yesterday - they all stayed in tents and yurts in a field and there were massive storms all night but luckily the canvas stayed in place!
Home finally in time for supper and some TV .....what a slog!
