Coombe Corona

Still (both literally and metaphorically) under the weather, Annie watched the storms in the middle of the night. It also kept Rosie awake but I (Chris) managed to sleep through it. The lightning was some of the most spectacular Annie had ever seen. As a consequence we had another slow start to the day.

With no apparent rain (despite the forecast), this afternoon we headed for Coombe Hill in the Chilterns and were treated to quite a cloud show (see the main blip). We did get a few spots of rain but it was so muggy it didn't matter.

This evening the storms have returned. I spent about 25 minutes shooting many, many 3 to 5 second exposures to try and capture the lighting from under our front porch. There's one in the extras which was the best amongst a lot of shots that were just black!!
