The Old Forge (Sunday 27th May 2018)

Calne seems to have avoided the extremes of weather that happened elsewhere. There was some rain overnight and in the morning but not enough to completely refill the water-butt, and in the afternoon the shade temperature reached twenty degrees - about right for pottering around in the garden and avoiding bank holiday weekend crowds.

The garden is changing every day, aided of course by Refna's and my own efforts, and already recent snaps were out of date. Even the tree fern that I blipped only on Thursday now excitingly has new leaves sprouting from the fronds, and the new fernery has actual ferns establishing themselves in it. The front yard (see Extra) is also coming along whilst looking markedly different from the previous year.

The blip shows the wooden arch now with some varieties of clematis growing up it. I will blip the newly-sited metal arch when it has integrated more into its position.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Ride - Seagull (1990)
Nowhere, recorded live-in-the-studio at Blackwing in London, was regarded as a masterpiece of the shoe-gazing genre, but I had never heard it in full, so didn't know this gem until it popped up on the radio on this day.
