Poppy

There are many clumps of poppies growing in the gassy areas at the top of the beach. When L and I arrived the some of the buds were just beginning to show the tiniest bits of red.

Over the weekend the sunshine had worked its magic and there are now some splendid blousy poppies just waving in the breeze. The beautiful blooms have such a short flowering time and the east coast wind certainly doesn't help!

Back home in Glasgow now and finding it very hard to keep cool ... no wind here!
