I got up early doors to check the moth trap. What a gorgeous morning - the holiday cottage location is just stunning! A cuckoo was calling, there was a bit of mist over the fields and the sun was breaking through. I checked the trap & found a few lovely moths. My fav is the scorched wing moth & it's in the extras. 
I went to RSPB Strumpshaw Fen and almost immediately saw a newly emerged cockchafer, Billy to you & I. I've never seen one before and I have a new fav bug I think. What a comical bug :) It's in the extras.
Also in the extra are beautiful flowers from the cottage garden here which is fantastic.
