Bruntsfield Links

This was the view as His Lordship and I took the air this morning on a consitutional walk to Morningside.
Cold though it was, the sun cast long shadows over Bruntsfield Links and picked out the Barclay church and the Golf Tavern, the oldest Golf pub in the world having been founded in 1456.

We didn't actually make it to Morningside having been lured into a computer shop en route and then succumbing to a coffee in a French cafe, where enough French was being spoken for us to think we had walked all the way to Paris.

Back to read the papers in the sunshine and watch the communal gardener raking all the fallen leaves into neat piles by the wall.
I hope the wind doesn't rise, or all will be for nought!
