Thirsty work!

Been over to see sis and Kobi today.
M60 was all backed up, then a road closure close to sis's meant my 45 minute journey took 1hr 45 !!! :-(

Sis is still in agony with muscle dysfunction, now waiting for intensive physio, it is so painful and restricting for her! We went out to get our remaining bedding plants, we had lunch in the garden centre, then called in Morrisons for one or two things we both needed, then headed back to hers.

A quick walk for Kobi, as its been pretty warm here again; sis doesnt like to take him out for too long in the heat of the day, longer walks in the morning and evenings instead. Here he is having a refreshing drink of cold water from his bottle, bless !!! He does like the sun, but she wont let him lay in it for too long either ;-)

Then it was a few gardening jobs for me, as sis can't bend down enough to plant things in tubs. She had bought a lovely azalea and a rose a few weeks back, with the pots and compost etc. but has just not been able to plant them up...so, what else are sisters for :-)
I cut back her camelia, a penstemon, and deadheaded her rhoddis. Could have done more, but time just ran away from us.

I thought Id be caught in the rushhour traffic as I didnt leave until 4.45, but miraculously, I was home for 5.30!!!

Hub has been the docs today for the results of his knee xrays......not bad enough for surgery, but injections or keyhole to remove fragments are options. It has been pretty good whilst we've had this lovely weather, so we shall see how things go, before he makes any decision on his next step.

Made a quick chicken and mushroom linguine for dinner, which was very tasty, before sitting down for the evening.......and relax :-)
