We woke this morning to rather overcast skies, but Mr MC, who planned to play golf this afternoon, assured me that the weather forecast had said that the cloud would 'burn off'... My plan for the morning was to take Zeus09smum for a little much needed retail therapy after so long confined to home with her healing knee.  About half way through our journey, there was a light spattering of raindrops on the windscreen, but it quickly stopped and so we didn't worry.
Cut to half an hour or so later when we had parked and having  spent some time in our first store looked out through the doors and realised that it was not just raining but raining catastrophically accompanied by thunder and lightening.  We were able to dash to store two mostly under cover and were optimistic that it would stop before we were ready to leave.  I didn't.  In fact it was even heavier.  Zeus09smum had to buy us umbrellas so that we could cross the (open air) car park to store number three without us and our purchases getting completely soaked.  Slightly soggy,  we shopped on and as the storm continued, we decided we'd leave store number four until another day.
Of course the rain stopped once we got home and the sun even made a very brief appearance, so I was able to dash into the garden to get something for today's TT challenge.  At a stretch, I suppose that I could say that the petals of this beautiful rose are soft but I think that really it's the focusing that's a bit soft and slightly off!
Many thanks to Riwaka7 for hosting.
