There be a dragon

After a massage at Tir na nOg I decided to follow their woodland walk. Instead of the bluebells I was expecting to find, there were vast swathes of wild garlic - see extra - and magnificent rhododendrons.

At the end of the path I came across this little 'camp' in the woods and recognised it as the venue for the 'Great Scottish Spoon Hoolie' which was featured in last Friday's edition of 'Landward' on BBC1. (Well, I recognised the name  rather than the actual place.)

Apparently it's an annual event where folk come and (attempt to) carve spoons out of bits of trees! It takes all sorts... ;-)

Another beautiful day, warm and sunny.
