St. James's Park: Ross'sling

More adorably egg-shaped in large.

The wait is over... I knew that the mother cow goose was off the nest, but didn't know that they had bred succesfully: only one gosling, but it's a good 'un.
Not sure what it's called: Ross's gosling? Cow gosling? Calf goose? Ross'sling?

Met a friend for a photo amble: started at Notes, photographed mischievous mallards and people on Trafalgar Square (posing peoplemodelling people, selfie-stick swingers...), before doing some wide-angle wildlife photography in St. James's Park... Well, I had the wider-angle walkabout lens mounted, and photographed some wild-ish-life (inc. smews, coots and cootlings, red-breasted geese, the other Ross's gooseruddy shelducks, and Greylag goslings...), tame-life, and tourists interacting with a soap bubble entertainer &c.

Today's varied batch are here (or right from Fourth Plinth)
