Patty's Plum

I checked on my poppies first thing this morning ..... plenty of hairy green buds and then I spotted this one flower tucked in beside my viburnum. Great to see one flower at last .... the others will burst into flower in their own time.

After my moment of excitement I walked down to the bus stop to await the arrival of a No 18 which would take me into town for my church lunch duty. It has been very warm and sunny again today so all the cafes with outdoor seating were very busy with folk enjoying a leisurely drink while soaking up the sun.

Still no sign of rain so I took my hose for a walk round the garden to give the thirsty plants a much needed drink.
