Nice work . . . !

Two afternoons a week I go and help H.  Today there were ponies to be ridden, a few are getting a bit tubby on the fresh grass and need exercising to stop them getting too fat and risk getting laminitis.

Some of the children who come and ride in the evenings are away at the moment, so as we are both fairly lightweights, we took the two Shetland crosses out for a gallop!  Great fun, but a bit scary going so fast on a small pony!  You are very close to the grounds and one good buck and you could be over their head!  Any worry about them being us being too heavy for them can be allayed by the fact that it was a job slowing them down!

From up on the hill the islands round about looked as if they were floating, the mist was so low lying that just the tops were showing.  A chill evening after such a sunny warm day.
