Meet the Neighbour

Simba had a surprise visit from our neighbour's cat Pedro this morning and it was funny to watch the interaction between the two of them.  Fortunately neither is aggressive, so once they'd checked each other out and said hello, Simba ambled off somewhere else, leaving Pedro to his sunny spot among our bushes.

A day that started off early rather dull and sunless, but turned into a really hot sunny spell - so hot that even the builders next door were complaining about the heat:-)

TJ and I spent it in the garden.  I emptied about 15 of my pots and left the bulbs in a tray to dry out, then washed the pots out before storing them away until next year.  There are still nearly as many to do again, but some have plants still in flower so they will be done later.  TJ never stopped all day - cleaning round the inside rims of windows (!!), mowing all the grass, trimming the edges with small shears, weeding and relaying all the soil from my pots down to the compost heap!  He should sleep well tonight:-)
