If you see incomprehensible signs in Oxford the first move is to question your own intelligence - there are some that make sense only after considerable thought. But try as I might to work out the difference between 'diverted' and 'diversion' this one eluded me.

My brain hurt all 350 metres to the other end of the path, where I found the signs in extras.

Have they recruited some philosophy graduates to the planning department?
