Poignant Sign on Bridge over M62

Scammonden Bridge over the M62 is 120ft above the motorway and unfortunately attracts people with suicidal feelings. The Samaritans put up four of these signs to offer an alternative to jumping off, but they proved a little controversial with people questioning their effectiveness - i.e. did they help or make matters worse by 'advertising' the bridge as a good place to commit suicide from!!
It scared me just looking over the railings seeing all the traffic thundering along 120 feet below!!
