Chips with everything.

Manky moss ridden scrap of grass in the garden. Killed off the grass and hopefully not the forty year old quince bush. Membrane down, easy enough. Then the daunting thought of filling barrow after barrow from two one tonne tote bags on the warmest day of the year but No!

The very amiable delivery driver suggested using the hi-ab crane to hoist the bags over the area, slash a hole in the bag and he steered the chips pretty much where they needed to be. Result. In with the edging (that was hard work the soil was riddled with stone and like concrete. Then a bit of sweat lashed raking to sort the levels out. Phew!

Looks a bit bare but several nice plants in planters are being groomed around the back.

The laid chips were a little dusty, I was going to hose them but a thunderstorm rolled in and the rain did the job for me.

Knackered. Cold beer.....
