In a deluge

Had a tricky journey to Shropshire today. The first leg to Birmingham was cancelled as a new bride was being erected along the route . So had to re route via London, then the Underground to Euston for the next leg to Crewe, after that I changed to another train. In spite of the chopping and changes I arrived in Shrewsbury Half and hour earlier than the original planned journey. My sister was there to meet me and as I arrived the Heavens opened. It was torrential and the streets were soon awash with water, cascading down steps and streets were like rivers. The drive to her home was quite exciting, as the flooding was happening so rapidly. Fortunately we got through it and arrived at Carole’s home safely.
