I love new bracken, how it unfurls itself from the ground, and here it is slightly larger!  (And when it's fully grown it's very useful for having a wee in when you're out climbing ...ssshhhhhh!)

Our walk today began in the dry, but that didn't last for long and we got absolutely drenched for about two hours.  Muggins here hadn't bothered with overtrousers, and since I was in shorts the rain soon filled my boots.  But the rain stopped eventually and by the end of 13 miles we were all dry again, although our feet were a little wrinkly!
