National Library of Spain

A quick visit to the Biblioteca Nacional and its permanent exhibition about the evolution of the written word, which was interesting. To view the library itself required pre-booking, which we had not done. This was a snatched shot from under an umbrella as we left to hurry back to the hotel to pick up our bags. Then it was to Madrid's Chamartín station for our five and a half hour train journey home to Gijón.
