Entertaining Quail

This afternoon we visited Alan whose wife is away on an intrepid trip in South America.  He put out bird seed and we were entertained by the sparrows and quail.  I saw my first green finch.  It was very bossy and didn't play well with others.  The quail were very flighty and wouldn't come if I was outside.  This is taken through the window.
A grey day and rather cool.  It was cosy to end it with macaroni and cheese and Dancing With The Stars on the telly.
