Patience

This word sums up the Alton Towers experience - its the only way to get through hr long waits in queues for rides which last only 60 s. Took Katharine to the Towers for a long promised day out - it was fun but boy was it cold, especially after we got soaked on the canyon river ride and then waited for 80 mins in the queue for AIR as the daylight drained from the sky. It did mean we got to ride in the dark though.

Woman next to me in the queue was a grandma with her grandson - she had watched a programme about people in their twilight years making the most of their time - and so had decided to come to Alton Towers - I was very impressed especially as she had just come off Nemesis and I hadn't even ventured close!
