Important decisions

Someone has a big day coming up, so I spent the evening trawling through my trusty recipe books (both proper and scrap-book style). It needs to be something special, but also something I can make pretty easily... Not so straight forward.

After a while I settled on this recipe, I've never made it before but the book has a good record to date. I have a few ideas of my own for turning it into something a little more interesting.
