"Beauty Amongst the Lace"

....I couldn't think of anything else to present today, but our good neighbour gave me this beautiful trumpet from the Hippeastrum (Fire Lily), to put on here for you.
Indeed, they are looking very beautiful, and in full bloom at the moment. But the warmth of the Spring is dealing with their beauty quite rapidly in the noon-day sun. ...They grow on long stems up to 60cm. (I had to look that up!)

I thought it would look rather different against our kitchen curtain...it seems fitting to me, to surround it with lace. It's a popular Lily with the florists, as they last a while inside..
