Mount Pond: Cayuga Flyby

Whirlier wings in large.
(Part of a series, right from tight take-off to landing flare)

A grey and slightly drizzly start to the day, so the Cayuga's iridescence wasn't exactly aglow, but it was still able to stun me with its sudden take-off (rather than walk around me?!). It also almost sustained a nasty grazing injury (before and after).

Today I found woody tones under rather than in my espresso at Sendero... I also photographed some new Arum, but might revisit them another grey day.

Others here (or right from posing)
