Tram Day

A slightly slower day today as our son has left us for a couple of days to go and visit some friends in Brno. We (I say ‘we’ in the loosest sense) took the opportunity to visit a giant shopping centre near the city centre. Coffee and cake were consumed and then whilst Mrs madwill was perusing the goods I did wander out to photograph some of the sights, including this tram…well it would be rude not to snap one as they are everywhere. So many different shapes, sizes, configurations and vintages that I am sure it would take weeks to ID them all. This was in Náměstí Republiky (Republic Square).

Close by I also found another magnificent, ornate building (see extra). This is just a part of the front of Obecní dům (Municipal House) which houses a concert hall (amongst other things).

A late (light - i.e. no beer) lunch and then we caught the metro back home. Way too hot to be wandering round the streets!

Our apartment is a stone’s throw from one of the biggest breweries in Prague..(Staropramen) and the most wonderful aromas keep wafting through our open windows, as I sit here sampling their product….happy bunny!
