Puck Needles

A green bug on a flower of Common Corn Cockle (Agrostemma githago), known locally here in Sussex as 'Puck Needles'.

This plant is actually growing among the tall grass at the side of our back garden.

Meanwhile in the tall grass on the other side of the garden some Meadow Cranesbill (Geranium pratense) has appeared in flower.
