Eu estou constipado

I've got a heavy cold so have been blowing my nose every few minutes. It's now sore and raw like a pulverised tomato. Luckily I didn't have any scheduled meetings so it's been a day of working at the hotel, buying snacks in the nearby supermarket, and crouching by the door of my room which is the only place I can get wifi.

This is the statue of Samora Machel on the Praça da Independência. He was the first President upon Mozambican independence from Portugal in 1975. A decade or so later, during the Civil War, he died in a plane crash on the Mozambique-South Africa-Swaziland border whilst returning from Zambia.

The word constipado in Portuguese can refer to having a cold, not only to trouble in the bowel department.
