firebird

First time out for guy fawkes since i was a child. First time for wifey too (being american). More importantly though, first time for the kidlets. We used to be able to get really close to the bonfire. Not anymore, they have a barrier to keep you at least twenty feet away from it, though when the wind changed direction we still got a face full of smoke and sparks. We got a face full of smoke from the BBQ as well. Eventually the fireworks began. Wasn't sure if i'd be able to capture any of it well enough, so just hoped for the best. Surprisingly, some of the shots seemed to not be about fireworks at all. We had some jellyfish ones, plants, flowers, trees and dancers. Best of all for me though was this bird. Just a lucky shot from a particular firework. Eldest wasn't too sure about the noise and lights but overall it was a good night out.
