Can you see the salmon?

No, neither could we! This is a place where the salmon leap on their arduous journey up-river, but not today, unless they did it behind our backs.

It was a beautiful morning for a walk. Lots of autumn leaves - sweet chestnut, beech, but not, as far as we know, the threatened ash.
