Monte Palace Tropical Garden

The tourist trail early & up to Monte way up above Funchal in a
tuk-tuk driven by a young girl called who used to work in Barclays Bank ( not much difference ! ). She handled the machine well both going up & coming down. We were going to get a toboggan down but by the time we went round the gardens there was over an hours wait for the run. Weather in Funchal very warm but by the time we got up to Monte the mist had come down. Still the gardens were lovely & very green with the dampness in the air, it was indeed tropical.
