Macro and Landscape

The weather continues to be amazingly sunny and bright here in the Lakes. Today was an escorted visit to Loweswater. The contrast light levels in the woodland areas were so great that virtually every shot need to be a bracketed exposure. I must say that the HDR merge in Lightroom is so much[proved and gives a very naturalistic final merged image. The day was predominated by landscape photography but the damselflies were out in force and the mayflies were soporific which allowed me to capture a mayfly macro using a 50mm macro lens plus extender stabilised by the use of my tripod as a monopod.

My extra is a massive tree in Low Lorton Churchyard taken before breakfast this morning
