Boots and Blankets

The wee man was still not quite right this morning, not in pain but pretty lethargic. Perhaps had something to do with the rotten sleep too. We decided to have an easy day, curling up on the sofa watching old Tom and Jerry and Pink Panther cartoons. He wasn't happy however, unless he had his red wellies on and I was more than happy to go with anything that made him feel better.

Miss A was a star, really affectionate and gentle with her brother and he, in return, called her name whenever she left the room, desperate for her to walk through the door again. His energy was zapped by 10.30am though and he zonked on the living room rug, safe and snug in his boots and blankets.

We met with Jen and Cian in the afternoon and enjoyed what was left of the beautiful day. Little D perked up when we got to the swing park and the kids enjoyed a wee run around before we made our way to the Botanics. Unfortunately we didn't figure on the winter opening hours and they were ready to close 5 minutes after we got there.

Never mind, the good thing is that a) Little D perked up again and b) Jen and I have organised ourselves a long-overdue catch up very soon - hurrah!
