Branklyn Garden

While on holiday we took out National Trust for Scotland membership. I thought I would look in a Branklyn Garden regularly, as it is only a few minutes walk away. This was my first visit in a while, and as usual it was a delight.

Bright sunshine is not ideal for plant photography; I hoped that there would be some interesting patches of shadow in the trees. In the event some of the full sun images came out well.

My extras are one of the blue poppies that are a speciality of the garden, and a fish-eye view inside a rhododendron after all the petals had fallen.
