Female Boat-tailed Grackle

After a lovely lunch and catch up with twin granddaughters in Lakeland, I stopped for a short time at the Circle B Bar Ranch Preserve nearby.  There were quite a few of these elegant beauties making a racket while perched in the trees.  I just love their beautiful sable color.  It was hot, muggy and there was a serious threat of thunderstorms so my visit was quite short.
