Crummock Panorama

We have entered a 10K trail race on Sunday, so we felt a training run was in order, before resting for the event. Parked up at the Buttermere end of Crummock water, walked up Rannerdale Knots (FAR too hot to run) and gently ran down the ridge of Rannerdale, into Buttermere and round the Lake. Tended to run in the shady bits and walk in the really sunny bits. Covered 10 miles, and still felt great after it.

Took this shot on the way up Rannerdale, it's a stitch of 5 images; the other end of Crummock was ripply in the wind, but the northern half in the photo was totally calm.

On the last 100 yards back to the car, we picked up cast aside disposable barbecues, beer cans, plastic bags etc, that tourists had dumped on the Crummock shoreline. So wish they would respect the areas they visit.
