Isle of Arran

We cruised to Arran today, what a wonderful trip..... I have never seen the Arran Ferry so busy, and I have sailed on it many a time.

We then bussed it up to Blackwaterfoot, and walked the King's Cave walk.  So named as legend has it (?) that this is where Robert the Bruce saw the spider when he was on Arran in hiding.  We saw otters, and seals, and lots of wild flowers including wild orchids.  The scents were wonderful.

Terrific walk, we had walked it before but finished it on a different pathway which proved to be wonderful, a high path look across to  the Sound of Kilbrannan with stunning views.

Took the bus back to Brodick, the ferry back to Ardrossan, and had a fish and chip tea at a wee place we know in West Kilbride.  Super day.

Sunshine all the way, getting used to this, we have had this weather for a month now.  Mind you, met a lad from Turriff who said the Aberdeenshire farmers were not happy as the crops are not growing as it is too dry!!!  There's always something.

Added some extras of our day as I couldn't make up my mind.  A problem I have quite often!
