A Massive Chair

The gigantic log was once a giant Eucalyptus
tree which was felled recently in an attempt to eradicate as many of these non-native, highly flammable trees from the East Bay Hills as possible. It makes a seat of sorts for admiring the panoramic view of San Francisco and the bay although it dwarfs the two fellows admiring the view when we drove by this morning

There is a home inspector crawling all over what was once our home. Now it's more like a holding space for boxes, black plastic bags full of trash and empty cupboards and drawers. The inspector's (loud) voice floats over the entire neighborhood as he someone else's problem on his phone.

We called to get a dumpster delivered to the house, but a supervisor sent to check out the street said they couldn't deliver it unless we asked everyone on our side of the street to park elsewhere! Our neighbors are patient people but...

#1Son wants our 1893 Steinway upright grand piano for #2 Granddaughter. I wonder if they'll still want it when he finds out how much it will cost to ship it to Los Angeles?

For lunch I picked at the carcass of a chicken which we barbecued in Sebastopol and brought to Berkeley yesterday. What we forgot was my laptop, so I am blipping on my phone until we get back up there. I'll try to catch up on comments later.
