Saturday: Cumberland Brewing

We're in Comox this weekend, visiting Hans and Leslie, whom we met earlier this year on holiday in Mexico.  We've stayed in touch and they invited us over.

We had to leave the house early to catch the seaplane over to Comox.  We were held up slightly by having to spend 15 minutes looking for Barney - we were sure he was in the house but could we find him?  After 15 minutes of an increasingly head-scratchy search he just reappeared with not a care in the world.

Anyway, we made the flight - it's about 50 minutes and, as usual, the views were incredible.  We started off with lunch in Courtenay, followed by some exploring of the area (which included the excellent Cumberland Brewery).  In the evening, Leslie cooked up a wonderful feast.

It was great spending time with them - they've been a couple of 10 years but live next door to each other, rather than together.
