Wound up in Wexford

Mid Norfolk Railway

We've had a lovely day.

We drove to Dereham to catch the 1030 steam train to Wymondham on the Mid-Norfolk line.  We got off at Wymondham, and waited to watch the train leave on the return trip to Dereham.  We then had a lovely walk along the river, lunch at The Green Dragon, a meander through Wymondham Abbey, and back to the station in time to watch the next train going on to the "runaround" loop.

Then we made the return trip to Dereham, where we bought stuff to make scones.  On getting home, Robin played out with his dad whilst R and W made cherry scones, which were subsequently consumed with enjoyment by all (see extra) with clotted cream and jam.

After the scones, no-one was very hungry for evening meal, we've just had cheese and biscuits with salad, and a fresh fruit salad.  All really delicious.

I'm shattered.  R and G have already retired to bed, and I will be following shortly.
