A digging weekend

Thank goodness for these guys! Otherwise known as Snarcm on blip.

We asked if they could give us a little help and they gave us a huge amount!

We managed to get a lot done and to get our heads around the different levels required around the walls to meet up with each other.

We didn't finish, but made a very large step forward.
Before we started, I put a leg of lamb onto slowly roast, and the other Mrs B created a fantastic potato gratin, so when it was too dark to see (we got carried away!), all 9 of us shared a dinner.
It was a chance, not to celebrate David's death - as my kids expressly didn't want to do that,  but to remember him with kind and wonderful friends who have travelled this journey with us.
